AMIS at the Fundamental Rights Initiative Brussels trip!

AMIS is pleased to share that two of our members, Eleni Mantikou and Anastasiia Barbieru, represented us in Brussels last week on a trip organized by Nyt Europa and Global Focus as part of the Fundamental Rights Initiative.

The trip aimed to inform Civil Society Organizations from across Denmark about the challenges and issues related to human rights within the EU. Participants gained insights into political decision-making in the EU and its potential impact on Danish society.

The representatives of these organizations had the opportunity to share their goals and aspirations, ask questions, and discuss current issues within Danish society. It was an educational experience that provided us with valuable information and broadened our perspectives on how we can contribute to creating a society where everyone feels welcome and included.

Our members also had the chance to network with individuals who are doing remarkable work across the country to protect fundamental human rights.

The trip was part of the preparations for Denmark's upcoming EU presidency in 2025.

Initiatives like this are always a valuable opportunity to learn and strengthen our impact on civil society.
